4월 1일, BBC라디오에서 하루 종일 Radiohead를 만날 수 있습니다.
종일은 좀 오바.. ^^;
영국시간으로 오후 2시에는 라디오헤드의 인터뷰,
4시와 8시에는 라디오헤드의 공연 음원을 들을 수 있습니다.
서울이랑 런던이 8시간 차이가 나죠.
라디오헤드 인터뷰는 방금 끝났네요;

'In Rainbows' 앨범 판매 현황

Fans can pre-order the digital version of Radiohead's upcoming In Rainbows album for any price they want, but most of them have ponied up an amount similar to what would be charged at a retailer, according to band spokesperson Murray Chalmers, who spoke with the BBC:
"Although the idea is that you can decide what you want to pay, most people are deciding on a normal retail price with very few trying to buy it for a penny."
Chalmers also said that rather than choosing the digital-only version of the album, most pre-orders have been for the $80 "discbox" collection, which includes the CD, a second CD with extra material, a heavyweight vinyl version of the album, and a hardcover booklet with lyrics and other material.
Radiohead took a huge risk in releasing their album this way, but judging from this early indication (which, granted, comes from their publicist), the risk seems to be paying off, not only in terms of press coverage, but also by generating advance sales -- of a high-priced album package, no less. Surely, there's a lesson to other bands and labels floating around here somewhere: increase anticipation for your album, treat fans with respect, give them options and offer something truly attractive to the hardcore following, and the world will beat a path to your server -- which will then require an upgrade, as the operators of Radiohead.com found out yesterday.

중요한 뉴스가 좀 늦었군요;; 많이들 알고 계시겠지만, 래됴헤드가 앨범 완성한지는 조금 되었지요.
Label 과의 계약으로 늦어지고 있는것 같았습니다만, 레이블 하나 차렸나 보군요. 이번 앨범은 No label
이라고 합니다. ㅡ,.ㅡ , 그들의 실험정신으로 앨범이 나오기전에 MP3 로
공유를 한다고 합니다. 물론 원본 보다는 곡수가 절반가량으로 적긴 하지만, 대단하다고 밖에 할말이..
그토록 노력한 앨범을 MP3로 절반가량이나 공유하고, 그것도 무료(from 1 penny)로 공개 한다고 하니,
음반 판매량으로 쌈박질 하는 많은 가수분들껜 씁쓸함을 안겨줄듯 하군요;;
(개인적으로 불법 공유가 바람직 하다고는 생각 하지 않습니다; 또 DRM 관련업에 종사고 하고있고)
(여기서 무료라 함은, 평가자가 평가하기 나름입니다. 돈내기 싫은사람은 1 페니만 내면 되지요.
무료는 아닌가;?? 암튼 디지탈음반 다운로드는 원하는 만큼 내고 다운로드 하면 된답니다.
근데 저 디지탈음반이 DRM 안씌워져 있을듯한데, 걍 공유해도 되는것일까요, 흠.)

It will be called In Rainbows and the way it will be released is quite interesting. First off, it will only be available on www.inrainbows.com initially. Secondly, it appears that they are releasing this album without a signed deal with a record company. Of course, many of us have been saying for years that they don't need EMI or any label.
If you go to the site now, you'll notice that there are two options for pre-ordering: Discbox and Download.

지난 8월 중순에, 올해 안에 라디오헤드의 새 앨범을 만나긴 힘들 것이라는 보도가 있었죠.

그 동안에는 라디오헤드가 아마 작업을 다 끝마쳤을 거라는 추측만 무성했는데,
최근에 죠니가 Paste라는 매거진에, 그들이 새 앨범 레코딩을 마무리 지었다는 것을 공표했네요.

“우리는 오늘 (마무리)미팅을 가졌어요. 녹음 작업을 끝마쳐서 시원합니다.

라디오헤드 멤버들조차도 새 앨범 발매가 언제쯤 될지 모른다는군요.
Hail to the Thief을 마지막으로 EMI와 계약이 만료된 라디오헤드가
어느 음반사와 어떤 식으로 계약하게 될지 귀추가 주목됩니다...

올해 여름쯤? 정도로 기억하고 있다.
래됴헤드 운영자가 어찌 그럴수 있겠는가 싶겠지만,
뭐 요즘 그렇다;; 아무래도 일상에서 생활하다보니.
아래는 다른 기사의 원문이고, 대략 앨범에 대한 설명 같다.
이런건 전곡 다 아레치 코리아에 올려야하는데,
우어 귀차니즘이여.
오랜만에 함 들어봐야지 싶다,
전곡은 온니 감상용으로 아레치의 FTP 자료실에 올려질 예정이다.

Thom Yorke: The Eraser
Thom Yorke of Radiohead doesn't bust any new moves on this airtight laptop-tronic solo foray, which offers further thoughts on alienation and dislocation. As a result, many longtime fans considered it less than a smashing success, and more like a between-courses diversion. History may wind up concurring: The Eraser does utilize drum sounds and patterns that carry a clear date stamp. Still, the intimacy of the surroundings yields some intensely reflective Yorke lyrics: thoughts on political intimidation ("Harrowdown Hill"), the haunting nature of a relationship ("The Eraser") and general deception ("Black Swan") that bury all traces of seething below the surface. Just hearing Yorke mutter and twitter through multi-tracked vocal percussion riffs -- and corresponding pattering percussion -- is one powerful lure. But then there are his lead vocals, which sound mussed and sleepy, intentionally low-aspiration, and still somehow dramatic. Can't wait to hear where he goes next.
